Registration is open!

Our 2025-2026 season will run from September through March. That is seven months of practices, Monday-Friday, competitions, and fun team events. Be sure to check our FAQs and practice locations/days to see where we'll be on any given day of the week (subject to change throughout the season).

Full Season Registration Details (Sep '25 - Mar '26):

• Full (one-time) Payment: $300
• Payment Plans: first payment due at registration (credit/debit card only)
  • Two (2) payment plan: two $174.50 payments per swimmer
  • Three (3) payment plan: three $116.34 payments per swimmer

• $25 non-refundable registration fee per family

About Us
Norfolk Silver Dolphins (NSD) is a non-profit focused on bringing the opportunity, joy, and benefits of swimming and team sports in an inclusive, flexible, and affordable format to all residents of Norfolk.

The benefits of swimming and being a part of a swim team have been well documented to include lower anxiety, greater self-confidence, improved memory, and increased water safety, among other benefits. In an area surrounded by water, such as ours, this is a benefit to all!

Thank you for a great experience for my daughter (14)! She is already sad it's over. It really was super helpful with her confidence and self esteem. We are so grateful she had this opportunity!

NSD is available for all children 5-18 years of age. Children must be able to complete a 25-yard pool length with a standard stroke to be on the team. Practices are offered in the evenings, Monday through Friday, and swimmers are encouraged to attend at least two to three practices per week and approximately four meets per season. We strongly encourage all parents to volunteer and get involved for the benefit of the team!

NSD partners with local businesses and non-profits, such as Norfolk Parks and Recreation and Oceanview Sports, to promote recreation and the beauty of the area. This past June, we were grateful to be a part of the inaugural Ocean View Mermaid Festival, bringing an open water relay swim alongside the fun festival activities and providing further enrichment and engagement for the youth and local communities. We are also excited to partner with USA Swimming for the 3rd season!
