POOLS/PRACTICE

Practices:

Days/Pool: *TEMP SCHEDULE for Fall 2025*
- Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays: Northside Pool
- Tuesdays and Wednesdays: Southside Aquatic Center
- Huntersville pool temporarily closed

*Practice Locations subject to change throughout the season. We will notify you when this occurs.

Regular Season Practice Slots:
- Beginners: 6:00-6:30 Mon/Wed/Fri (typically ages 5-8)
- Intermediate: 6:30-7:10 Mon/Wed/Fri & 6:00-7:00 Tues/Thurs (typically ages 8-12)
- Advanced: 7:00-8:00 M-F (typically ages 13-18)

Important Reminders

Please ensure your swimmer has their pool access card and it is active with the city ($20/year per swimmer, paid directly to Norfolk Parks & Rec (nonresidents - $100/swimmer))
- It is the parent's responsibility to maintain an active Norfolk pool access card.
- The access card grants your swimmer/family access to all Norfolk pools the team uses throughout the season
As a NSD member, you can practice during the times above however it fits into your schedule (typically 3x/week)
Arrive early to allow for parking and set up before practice
Cancellations (Weather, Closure, Etc.)
- IMPORTANT: We will notify families via SwimTopia app alert whenever practice is unexpectedly cancelled. Please ensure you have the SwimTopia app downloaded, signed in, and alerts enabled and active on your phone (including "do not disturb" or "focus" overrides) so you don't miss these important alerts!
