Hello Parents,

Welcome to the Norfolk Silver Dolphins! Our schedule is Mon - Fri from 6-8 pm.

• Beginners: 6:00 - 6:30 p.m.
• Intermediate: 6:30 - 7:10 p.m.
• Advanced: 7:10 - 8:00 p.m.
• If you’re unsure of your swimmer’s ability, default lower and discuss with the coaches during the first two weeks.

Northside Pool: Mon/Tue/Thu (8400 Tidewater Drive)

Huntersville Pool: Wed/Fri (830 Goff Street)

REMINDERS:

• Parents who registered to pay by check, please bring your payment the first week.
• All swimmers must have an active Norfolk Rec Center use card. This costs $20/year per person or $100/year for a family. Registration forms are attached. 

Parent's Meeting First Week: We will hold a parents meeting on the pool deck Tuesday 1/10 (Northisde) and Wednesday 1/11 (Huntersville) at 6:30 pm. This is your opportunity to meet members of the NSD board, hear an overview of the team, future plans, and how you can help us achieve our vision. 

Swim Gear

• Suits - This season, you may obtain an NSD-branded swim suit from swimoutlet.com. Alternatively, you may go to Aquawear in VB (521 N Birdneck Rd) to buy any unbranded competitive suit they may have. They offer a 20% discount on suits and 10% on gear for NSD families. 
• Caps - We will have a very limited number of NSD swim caps for new swimmers, if desired. 
• Goggles - We highly encourage you to get goggles for your swimmers, along with at least one backup. 
• Fins - Please plan to purchase fins for your swimmers to have ready for use in practice by Feb. 1. This is a very helpful piece of equipment for conditioning. If you have fins your swimmer has outgrown, please bring them the first week for donation to others (I will be bringing two pair this week for any parents who want to claim them). 

Save the Date | Intra-Squad meets are tentatively planned for Saturday 2/18 and 3/18. This is a great opportunity for your swimmer to get baseline timings and observe any improvements in the 3/18 meet. More details to come.
