Hello NSD Families! 

Updates:

• USA swimming declaration for the 11/10-11/12 USA Carl Warner meet is currently closed! Those who registered with USA by 10/20 (as notified and reminded) may participate at the time trials during practice next week and compete at the Carl Warner meet. A separate email was sent to these parents with more details.
  • You may still register for USA swimming but will not be able to participate in the 11/10-11/12 USA meet. You will be eligible to participate in future USA meets.
  • All Parents: Practice on 10/23 and 10/24 will be mixed in with the time trials we need to perform for these USA swimmers going to the Carl Warner meet so please expect more dry land activities for non-USA swimmers these nights. Thank you for your patience.
• 11/4 Intrasquad Meet is open to declare your swimmer (USA and non-USA may participate)! Please go to Meets & Events to select the 11/4 Intrasquad meet and whether your athlete will be attending (don't select the time trials event!). Please also volunteer for the various jobs needed to ensure a smooth meet and sign up to donate concession item(s). Concession proceeds go toward paying for the pool space.

• 11/4 Potluck RSVP and dish signup is currently open (same link as above). This will immediately follow the intrasquad meet around 11:30. Please RSVP by 11/2/23 so we can get an accurate count for providing tables/chairs and paper products/cutlery. More details on the event page.

• Team Store is re-opened with hoodies and some shirts available for purchase (limited quantities). A great opportunity for holiday gifts!

• Monday, 10/30: Team Photo Night and Halloween Party! 
  • Prepay for Photos here (enter code NSDSWIM23)
  • Timeline: 
  • 6pm - 7pm: Photos 
  • Team photo will be taken promptly at 6:10PM (don't be late! Come even if you don't plan to buy individual photos).Wear your team swimsuit if it has arrived. Individual photos will precede and follow. There will be a table in the lobby to sign in and pay (if you haven't prepaid)
  • 6:30pm - 7:30pm: Halloween Party! Come when you're done with your individual photos.

  • The "trunk or treat" parking will be extremely limited. We will have only the first row of parking available for vehicles to back into against the field immediately beside the pool and use for trunk or treat purposes. This is due to parking lot having to remain open for pool patrons. We do not want kids in the parking lot with active traffic from pool use. So, if you plan on decorating your trunk please reach out soon and plan to be early that evening to snag a parking space! People who don’t want to do (or can't because space is limited) a trunk but want to participate, bring a lawn chair or folding table and get creative as we will be using the grassy area behind the first row of parking (beside the pool). Also bring a bag of candy to give out.
