NSD Families, 

Thank you so much for joining us this season! We appreciate your support the past seven months for this vital community swim team. Some highlights from the season:

• Average of 5 - 20%+ improvement in swimmers' times throughout the season
• >90% team growth from previous season
• After a 15 year absence, NSD returned to USA Swimming competitions
  • 200% more swim competition opportunities (12 this season compared to average of four in previous seasons)
• 14 scholarships offered to families in need (most ever by NSD)
• 10 local donors and sponsors which helped keep our costs low and offer more scholarships

To our coaches: Thank you for committing to our youth and coming to practice day after day to help our children become better swimmers! You worked through difficult circumstances at times but remained committed to the team and we appreciate it very much!

To the parents who volunteered throughout the season: Thank you! Your support means the world to the NSD Board and we couldn't have had the season we did without your help! 

To the NSD Board: Thank you for dedicating extra time and your talents to our organization and mission! Without you, we would not have achieved so many milestones this season! 

NSD is a nonprofit charitable organization committed to seeing competitive swimming remain an affordable and attractive option in Norfolk. We are the most affordable competitive swimming option in the area (by far) and are committed to improving each year, including working this off season to:

• Offer additional training opportunities for our coaches to improve their skillset and, as a result, improve swimmer growth.
• Continue our long term efforts to expand practice pool space at Norfolk pools for future seasons. 
• Explore more ways to achieve our vision of a multi-team community league (similar to VB rec center league) or expand our USA Swimming presence.
• Deepen ties with local organizations, businesses, and individuals to support the team.
