What a wonderful first evening we had at practice last night!  We hope that the children are excited for the wonderful season ahead and that the registration process and first night at the pool was smooth for the parents as well.  

For those coming for the first time this evening, we will have a board member in the lobby helping answer questions and work with the NPR lifeguard staff.  Our president, Jon Brodegard, will lead another parent info session around 5:45/6:00 for new families or anyone who needs a refresher.  We will all be in our navy blue NSD tees so hopefully easy to spot.  

IMPORTANT: 

Slight adjustment to our practice times during tryouts week 1. 

• New swimmers ages 8 & under please come swim 6-6:30 
  
• New swimmers ages 9 & up please join 6:30-7:00
• Returning NSD swimmers from last season 7-8pm all ages

REMINDERS: 

• Practice this evening is at Huntersville Pool at 830 Goff St. Norfolk, VA 
• Please pack goggles for your child.  
• The best swimwear is snug fitting one piece suits or jammers, if your kiddo complained of their suit staying put, it might be time for a fresh one as they wear out over time in the chlorine and sun.  
• New swimmers please attend as many tryout practices as your schedule allows for these first couple of weeks.  It takes time for the coaches to get used to so many new kiddos and more exposure helps them greatly.
