Wow!  What a fabulous first Meet!  I hope that all of the kiddos, parents, spectators, and siblings had a wonderful time watching the event.  I was so proud to see that almost 3/4 of our team attended!  I saw smiles, excitement, encouragement, and perseverance yesterday.  Pat on the back, parents :)

DQ Chits: Disqualifications are a lesson, not a failure!  Your swimmer will have more chances at the same events throughout the season.  Coaches will continue working with your child throughout the season to reach legal standard for all strokes.  

Meet Notes:  

• Please have children spend most of their time in the zoo with their teammates when possible. Send them back after they check in or grab a quick snack/drink!  It’s hard for the shepherds and zookeepers to find kids when needed to line up for events if they’re all over the pool. 
• We will be ordering new merch in the next week or two.  It will be in before our next meet.  Our free team shirts will be in before our team photo on 10/29.
• THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU to our amazing parents who volunteered yesterday.  We cannot run meets without plenty of help and we so appreciate those wiling to spend their Saturday helping us run an amazing swim meet.  Remember, volunteering is required on our team, so if you are unable to help during a meet, reach out and see what you can do to help in other ways.
