Week 3 recap and reminders

Better-late-than-never Week 3 Recap & Reminders ;)
What a wonderful first swim meet! It was so great to see so many of our swimmers there, and the enthusiasm and joy they brought.
Reminders:
- Please adhere to the pool rules at all times. We are representing our team even when we are not actively swimming. During the evening hours, the pool has “family swim” which requires a parent to be in the water with the children. Swimmers should not be in the shallow end before or after lessons unless you are swimming with them.
- Pack water bottles for your swimmer. There is also a water fountain at each pool. Encourage the kids to hydrate!
- Payment reminders will be going out later today. Please reach out if you need to chat with a board member regarding payment status or update.
- There are few children who I still need t shirt sizes for. If your name is on this short list, could you please email me and let me know their size so that I can finalize the order (ideally by tomorrow). Thanks! — [email protected]

USA SWIM INFO:
Swimmers who want additional opportunities for competition and challenge should consider joining USA swim with our team. If this sounds like something of interest to your family or you are just curious, we will be holding a quick info session next week on Tuesday at Southside (10/1) and Thursday at Northside (10/3). There is also a ton of great info on our website here under the USA Swimming tab. Note: USA swim incurs fees for every meet as well as a yearly subscription fee. In addition, we have to provide timers at every meet and every family will be required to do a portion of the events.
SAVE THE DATE:
Tuesday, October 30th we will have a team photo taken as well as individual photos available for purchase during practice. We would love to have as many of our team members as possible, so please try to be there! This will be taken at Southside starting at 6pm with a goal of team photo around 6:30pm. We will hand out the kids free t shirts this evening before the photo as well. And if you haven’t already ordered a team suit, now is a great time! They take a few weeks to come in. NOTE: team suits are not required just suggested. Purchase here and click “my team”
