Happy Monday, swim families.  The board has been working hard on prepping for USA swim and we're excited to chat with you all this week about this wonderful opportunity for swimmers who want more meets and diverse competition.  

USA SWIM INFO: Swimmers who want additional opportunities for competition and challenge should consider joining USA swim with our team. If this sounds like something of interest to your family or you are just curious, we will be holding a quick info session on Tuesday at Southside (10/1) and Thursday at Northside (10/3). There is also a ton of great info on our website here under the USA Swimming tab. Note: USA swim incurs fees for every meet as well as a yearly subscription fee. In addition, we have to provide timers at every meet and every family will be required to do a portion of the events.  

Upcoming meets: 

ODAC Rising Stars Meet (USA only)

• When: Oct. 19 & 20th
• Where: Brittingham-Midtown Aquatic Center (570 McLawhorne Dr, Newport News, VA 23601)

• Fees: (buttons to pay are in the team store and must be paid before 10/7 - please reach out with any questions and we can walk you through it)

1. Entry fee: $5.00
2. 8 & unders: $5.50/event
3. 9 & olders: $10.00/event
4. relay events: $20 total ($5/kid)

ECAT October Invitational (USA & Non-USA) Note: Any of our swimmers can swim in this meet.  We have special permission from the VSLL for this meet and our non-usa kids are welcome and invited to participate.  There will be a fee to enter and swimmers must be declared and paid by 10/9.  Please reach out with any questions.  

• When: Oct. 26 & 27th
• Where: East Coast Aquatic Center (5905 Portsmouth Blvd. Portsmouth, VA 23701)
• Details: Declare here soon! (will be entered into the system this week)
• Fees: 

1. Overall fee 8 & unders: $20/day up to 2 events
2. Overall fee 9-12: $25/day up to 3 events
3. Overall fee 13 & up: $30/day up to 4 events
