I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend, especially our USA athletes who competed this weekend.  The atmosphere in that pool this weekend was energetic and enthusiastic and our kids ROSE TO THE EXCITEMENT like champs!  

So to start off my email, here are some shoutouts from the weekend.  Kai Cruz literally crushed the competition in his first ever USA meet taking 1st overall in 100 Back, 2nd overall in 100 IM, and 3rd overall in 50 Free.  Amelie Gerry dropped more than 14 seconds off her 100 free from our last meet just last month!  Lyla Goldman also dropped in every event she swam including 10 seconds off her 100 back.  Harper Hall, Laila Liburd, and Lorelei Breguet also dropped times in all events!  Our 9-10 girls were the only group large enough to do a relay and they came in 4th overall out of 7.  I am so proud of EACH of these incredible kids; for their diligence to their sport, their commitment to their team, and mostly for their enthusiasm for their fellow teammates.  From our youngest athletes to our seasoned veterans, I am proud to call NSD my swim team.  Shoutout to Coach Maurice as well for his support this weekend!  

Reminders: 

• swimmers need: swim cap, goggles, water bottle, and Fins everyday for practice.  
• practice locations are shifting a bit until the Huntersville Pool is up and operable again.  Please adjust your calendars accordingly.  We will practice at Northside Pool on Monday, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.  Southside Pool for Tuesdays and Fridays.
• November meets will open up this week so please take a look at the calendar for next month and see when your child could join us.  We would LOVE to have more USA kids.  If your child is interested, it's a super fun group.  Come chat with a coach or board member and we can tell you all about it. 
• please adhere to pool rules at all times when practice is in session.  We are guests of the pool and if a lifeguard reminds you of a rule, you must follow it.  There is NO FREE SWIM at the pool during practice hours.  

TEAM Photo Day is coming up next week.  Tuesday, October 29th at Southside Pool during practice.  PLEASE prioritize coming to join us even if you don't want to order individual photos.  It would be so great if most of our team was there for the group photo.  We will start with individual shots and hope to get most of the team around 645 ish and then can continue with individual/sibling photos until the end of practice.
