Welcome to the 2025-2026 NSD swim season! 

 Registration is officially open and we cannot wait to get started on another wonderful swim season.  

A note on volunteering (PLEASE READ): 

Dear Swim Team Parents:

As we prepare for the 2025-2026 swim season, we require additional volunteers and ask parents to consider joining our Board of Directors (BoD) or filling a non-board volunteer position. In recent years, a shortage of parent volunteers delayed the start of the season. Sufficient parent participation will help us avoid this situation again. A few of the open positions include Vice President, Treasurer, Activities Coordinator, Fundraising Coordinator, and others.

Our BoD is entirely volunteer-based, and participation in these roles supports the operation and development of the Norfolk Silver Dolphins (NSD) swim team. By volunteering, individuals:

• Contribute to decisions about the swim team’s direction and goals
• Work with other parents and coaches to improve the swim experience
• Assist in organizing events, fundraisers, and activities
• Provide skills, ideas, and perspectives to help the team’s progress

Most roles require a commitment of only a few hours a month when volunteer participation is adequate. If you are interested in any position or would like information about responsibilities and expectations, please reply to this email. All responses are appreciated as we organize for the upcoming season.

New Swim Meet Requirement for 2025-2026 Season: For families not filling board or non-board positions, swimmer eligibility for a meet requires that a household member fills a swim meet role (such as timer, stroke & turn judge, runner, volunteer check-in, concessions, etc.). Signing up to bring snacks to the swim meet does not fulfill the volunteer requirement.

Registration and Tryout info: 

We welcome new and returning swimmers!  Click here to register. Multi-swimmer families get an early registration discount of 10% on additional swimmers if you register through the full (1) payment option form and submit registration by 9/2/24.  

Tryouts will be held the week of August 25th with the following schedule: 

• 6-7pm (M-F) BRAND new to NSD swimmers 
• 7-8pm (M-F) Returning swimmers from previous seasons
