Wow!! That's what kept going through our heads all morning on Saturday.  Wow!  Such great enthusiasm from parents.  Wow, what great sportsmanship from swimmers.  Wow, what an easy cleanup.  Wow, what an amazing turnout.  Wow, wow, wow!  So thank you to all of the parents for volunteering, tidying up, supporting your swimmers as well as their teammates, and just plain BEING THERE.  Pat on the back to you all.  All times should be available in swimtopia already.

Reminders

  1. I had a great idea that I should have thought of last month and it came to me during the meet.  If you don't mind, would you write your kids name on their right shoulder for the next few weeks while the coaches get to know all the swimmers names.  I'll make sure they have some sharpies available and it will be best if you do it before they get wet.
  2. Please have your kids to practice in a timely fashion.  I know things come up, no stress on the occasional late arrival.  The traffic to SS right now is a nightmare for me coming from Brambleton.  But it helps the kids and coaches if the kids are ready and waiting for their turn to get into the water.
  3. Coaches will start using fins this week.  If you didn't get a chance to purchase them yet, you can buy in person from Aquawear in VB and they're also available on amazon.  As always, a well fitting snug swimsuit for practice, goggles, and a cap are always required.  I have another NSD cap order coming in soon with long hair caps included.  I'll let you all know when they arrive.
  4. Lastly, please SIGN IN.  I do keep attendance and it's very helpful to keep an eye on our numbers and check in on swimmers we haven't seen in a while.

See you at the pool!
